1. Company Profile

Established 30 years ago, UK-based premium clothing lifestyle brand Joules has grown to include worldwide retail stores, department store concessions, franchises, online sales, and an events business.

It has more than 1,800 employees in Europe, the Americas, Australasia, and Southeast Asia, generating £218 million ($296 million) in revenue in 2019. Known for its strong use of color and bold, hand-drawn prints developed by its in-house design team, Joules wanted to increase the collaborative learning capabilities of its people.

Its rollout of a learning management system (LMS) from learning and knowledge software provider Fuse has helped harness its brand culture and foster community during the COVID-19 pandemic, while providing more effective tools for learning and development in support of business growth. Specific benefits included:

  • Faster time to value (e.g., store reopening) as a result of improved training access
  • Increased employee engagement, collaboration and sense of community
  • Improved “Best Company” rating by employees based on levels of satisfaction
