Acadian is a group of medical transportation and training companies, headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana. Its six divisions provide ground ambulance services, air ambulances, safety management, paramedic training, aircraft charter, and home and business security across Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. The group has around 5,000 employees, the majority of whom are mobile or work outside of an office.
Most support functions, including IT, are provided centrally. Over the past four years, Acadian has implemented a new intranet solution that serves as both an employee communication platform and a repository for business-critical content.
