• Artificial intelligence models are being trained to identify tuberculosis (TB) on chest x-rays, according to the Radiological Society of North America, which, according to a new study, may help screen and evaluate the disease in TB-prevalent areas with limited access to radiologists.

• According to one of the first surveys of UK opinion about the technology, the British public is broadly optimistic about the arrival of artificial intelligence based on the results of polling. 36% believe the risks and benefits of "machine learning" are balanced.

• A prototype Cheetah robot has been constructed by a researcher and engineer from the Dutch University. Compared to a real cheetah, the fastest land animal in the world, the scaled-down robot uses only about fifteen percent more energy to replicate its movements.

• Music fans are now interacting with their favorite artists using Facebook Messenger bots. These simple interactions convey human personality through technology developed by start-ups like Persona Technologies, or Octane AI which created the Maroon 5 Facebook Messenger bot.

• Cars may soon be able to read your emotions, based on concept cars like the Portal from Fiat Chrysler. Automakers using cameras with facial recognition software and other biometric indicators hope to improve driving convenience, safety, and security for drivers.
