Recently, computer AI has been trained to score the attractiveness of people. It was done, of course, using photographs of people all around the world and judged on facial symmetry and other factors. This is an interesting prospect, that a computer will actually tell you how attractive you are. And it wouldn't stop there, would it? The computer would tell you how smart you are, how funny you are, how insightful you are, how wise your utterances are, whether you're annoying... and at some point, I wonder if we don't start believing the machine more than we believe ourselves or other people. It used to be said that "beauty was in the eye of the beholder," meaning that everyone could kind of judge it on their own and have different opinions, but what we're doing is instantiating it in a program so that could say, "Beauty is in the eye of the AI."
