Manoj Saxena is chairman of CognitiveScale and SparkCognition and founding managing director of The Entrepreneurs’ Fund IV, a $100m seed fund focused exclusively on the cognitive computing space.

Prior to joining TEF, Saxena was general manager, IBM Watson, where his team built the world’s first cognitive systems in healthcare, financial services, and retail. Before IBM, Saxena successfully founded, scaled, and sold two venture-backed software companies within a five-year span.

Saxena was recently elected chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ San Antonio Branch and helps contribute to Federal Reserve’s monetary policy formulation by weighing in on regional economic and credit conditions on a regular basis.

Saxena holds an MBA from Michigan State University, and a masters in management sciences from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India.

An avid auto racing enthusiast, he has completed track, endurance and rally races in a variety of race cars including Formula 1, Radical/LMP, Porsche GT3 RS, Formula Mazda, and Formula Renault.
