AT&T launches faster 45 Mbps U-verse broadband in 40 new markets

AT&T, which lost 61,000 broadband customers during the second quarter of 2013 is launching a faster version of its U-verse service to stem losses and fight off competition from cable companies. It should make residents of 40 new markets reasonably happy…. I think!

AT&T’s U-verse embraces the second screen

AT&T is making a big push to enable its U-verse subscribers to engage with shows through social TV apps. By partnering with BuddyTV, Miso, TV Foundry and WayIn, U-verse users will be able to chat, take polls and get personalized TV recommendations without having to check-in.

AT&T U-verse Expanding to Android

AT&T has expanded access to the U-verse TV service to Android phones, with the release of the AT&T U-verse Mobile app. The app is available in the Android Market and brings U-verse TV to the Samsung Captivate, HTC Aria, Motorola Bravo and Flipside.

AT&T Takes TV Viewing Mobile With New iPhone App

AT&T is launching a new mobile app to let U-verse subscribers record content on their DVR and watch it anywhere with a WiFi connection on iPhone or Blackberry Torch. Replacing the Mobile Remote Access for iPhone app, it adds available content for download on mobile devices.

AT&T Lets Cubs Fans Choose Their Own Camera Angle

AT&T is rolling out a cool new feature for Cubs fans that subscribe to its U-verse pay TV service in Chicago. By teaming up with affiliate WGN-TV, AT&T will soon enable subscribers to choose whichever camera angle they want to view while watching Cubs home games.
