Philip Sheldrake is an Analyst for Gigaom Research, a Chartered Engineer and Managing Partner of Euler Partners, a social business consultancy. He serves as a main board director of techUK, the UK technology industry association.
He is the author of The Business of Influence: Reframing Marketing and PR for the Digital Age (Wiley, 2011), and Attenzi – a social business story (in association with Social Media Today, 2013). He organized the UK’s first Internet of Things conference with Intel, Qualcomm and the Consumer Electronics Association, and helped ‘liberate’ flood data for accessible presentation to UK citizens. He was appointed director of 6UK by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to champion IPv6, and is the architect of the Web Science Trust endorsed hi:project.
Philip previously co-founded, built and sold an award winning tech PR consultancy with clients such as Mozilla, Fujitsu, AOL, ARM, Nominet, Sony and the RIPE NCC. He holds a BEng, Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Nottingham, and is pursuing a PhD in Web Science supervised by Dame Professor Wendy Hall.
