Chris Kinsman is an Analyst for Gigaom Research and the Chief Architect of PushSpring, a company providing audience data for a mobile world. Chris started his career consulting on the creation of budgeting and forecasting systems for numerous Fortune 500 companies. As the web started to take off he took a role as VP Technology for Fawcette Technical Publications and created a network of web sites and advertising, DevX.com. Chris next took on a Chief Architect role with Vertafore and built the leading SaaS based insurance agency management system, AMS360. While at Vertafore he worked on integrating acquired products and process re-engineering of development teams. Chris next jumped into the startup world with an internet of things healthcare based startup, EveryMove, that aggregated data from ~30 data providers for millions of users. His most recent company, PushSpring, is in the audience and advertising space and utilizes big data and data science to give publishers insight into their audiences.
Chris has spent the last 15 years building highly scalable systems for enterprises and consumers using a variety of technologies including but not limited to NodeJS, Postgres, Azure, SQL Server, AWS, Redshift, and C#/.NET. He has transformed existing teams into high performing agile teams and quickly built completely new development teams. He has built mobile apps on iOS/Android, scalable APIs to support those applications and built complete continuous integration/deployment pipelines for both mobile and web based applications. He has run multiple colocations and data centers in the past and has embraced the rise of devops.
