The new tool lets users figure out what is hindering the performance of their production-ready applications. If there’s a bottleneck in your application that’s causing slow requests, the tool can generate a report that details what exactly is going on in the app that’s causing the issues.
From the blog post:
[blockquote person=”Google” attribution=”Google”]Its trace analysis feature allows you to see the latency distribution for your application, and find the painfully slow requests that may be affecting only a small number of your users.[/blockquote]
[company]Google[/company] Cloud Trace can also be used to compare the performance of a new release to the previous release.
The application-performance tracker is just another example of the kind of tools and features big cloud providers like Google, [company]Microsoft[/company] and [company]Amazon[/company] are rolling out to distinguish themselves and lure potential clients to their infrastructure; it can’t all be about price cuts.
