Last week, Om wrote an in depth post about what design and “invisible design” means to him. Gigaom Roadmap co-chair Katie Fehrenbacher also weighed in on how invisible design has become pivotal to the tech industry. These posts, as well as the content in our upcoming Gigaom Roadmap Conference, have spurred our team at Gigaom to debate on what “invisible design” means to them and we would like to ask the greater design community to weigh in as well.
What are your best examples of “Invisible Design” and what does it means to you? A screenshot of your favorite app? Perhaps a video or sound interaction? Or perhaps a photo, article or post that you feel epitomizes “Invisible design.” Whatever it is – share it with us.
Over the next two weeks, we will be highlighting our favorite submissions. (We may even share a few on stage at Roadmap).
Please share what invisible design means to you on Instagram or Twitter, and use the hashtag #whatisinvisibledesign
Be sure to follow us if you aren’t already > Instagram / Twitter
We look forward to seeing examples of great “invisible design” and exploring it in depth at our Gigaom Roadmap conference on November 18-19 at the SFJazz Center in San Francisco.
Hope to see you then.
