Nest is releasing a software update to its thermostat that will improve its ability to learn your schedule from your adjustments outside of the initial two-week learning period. It also is updating its main menu screen so, with the press of the thermostat, you will get a freshly designed menu as well as the outside weather. Those tweaks plus a new test mode round out this update. The test mode should come in handy for people who want to make sure their cooling works before that first crazy hot day of summer. You can hear more about Nest’s strategy at our tech design conference Roadmap this month in San Francisco.
