
SmartThings, the smart home software and hub maker has launched a Windows phone app to control its services. This joins the existing iOS and Android apps and should help reassure those worried that Samsung’s purchase of SmartThings this summer would mean the end of support for different platforms or efforts to close off the SmartThings ecosystem. The SmartThings app for Windows will be available as a free download in the Windows app store, and should be available in the coming days.
