Drop, the makers of a connected kitchen scale with hopes of remaking recipes for a digital era, raised $2 million in seed funding. The round was co-led by Frontline Ventures and Innovation Works, with additional investors including PCH, Vegas Tech Fund and WI Harper Group. Drop plans to use the funds to build out its engineering, customer support and community teams. The company’s scale costs $80 through Oct. 19 before rising to $99. It will ship before the holidays.
