The Internet of Things can often feel like the Gloucestershire cheese roll – moving too quickly to catch up to, with a dedicated mob flinging themselves wholeheartedly downhill to capture it. Our mapping session, Chasing Standards – Securing the Internet of Things, will address the risks and costs for developers in maintaining control as the IoT cheese wheel continues to spin downhill.
At the heart of IoT are our connected devices and a growing movement of ‘quantified self’. Our Day 2 mapping session, Beyond FitBit – the Future of Quantified Self Devices and Platforms, will take a look at the self tracker evolution and the trends, successes, failures and limits based on prior research and session feedback.
Our mapping sessions are a live, interactive discussion with a small focused audience. With participant feedback, we will identify and prioritize key concerns that will help shape our research over the next year.
