HP will not necessarily release further details on its first 3D printer in June, as CEO Meg Whitman stated last week. An HP media relations official said today that the date was an “inadvertent statement,” and the announcement will actually come by the end of HP’s fiscal year, which falls on October 31. Whitman said last year that the company would enter the 3D printer market in mid-2014. HP did not say if she actually meant the end of the fiscal year or if the printer was pushed back.
