Check your trash: Gmail bug affected some iOS, mobile browser and offline users

On the heels of last week’s brief but widespread Gmail and Google(s goog) services outage, The Verge is reporting that another bug might have affected some Gmail users earlier this month. Google sent out a message to some users, saying that an issue between January 15 and January 22 might have inadvertently deleted some messages or reported them as spam.

According to the Verge, this problem only affected users of the Gmail iOS(s aapl) app, as well as those that accessed Gmail through mobile browsers and offline. Google has since fixed the problem, but recommends these users double-check their spam and trash folders to make sure that messages sent between January 12 and January 21 weren’t filed incorrectly.
