Following a court ruling from last August, Microsoft is changing the name of its SkyDrive online storage service to OneDrive. The company announced the change in a blog post on Monday, with the recurring theme of “one” place to store your data in the cloud. Current SkyDrive and SkyDrive Pro users shouldn’t see any service disruption as the name change takes place, says Microsoft. The name change is required due to a trademark held by British broadcasting company, BSkyB.
