On Thursday FinTech startup superstars Kusiri were crowned the winners of the 3D FinTech Challenge 2013 by a panel of judges including Krishna Vishvanathan, a VC at DFGEsprit, and banking executive David Goucher at a Demo Day at Level39, Europe’s largest technology accelerator space for finance, retail and future cities companies in Canary Wharf, London.
Six startups were selected as finalists for the 3D FinTech Challenge 2013 and embarked on six weeks of incubation that culminated in Thursday’s Demo Day, developing products and solutions to improve visualization of client data within financial services. Finalists were selected by senior banking executives from London, who also offered extensive mentoring during the challenge, alongside support from Dassault Systèmes, Europe’s second-largest software firm and the official sponsor of the 3D FinTech Challenge 2013.
Kusiri’s CEO Tim Clark said, “We’re absolutely delighted to have won the 3DFinTech Challenge 2013. It has allowed us to evolve our product and to focus our business proposition. The support from Dassault Systèmes, the mentors, Level39 and Pivotal Innovations has been exceptional. There’s been tremendous collaboration between the six teams which has built relationships and created opportunities that we wouldn’t otherwise have had. All members of the Kusiri team have worked very hard to maintain focus on existing clients whilst shaping this winning proposition. Viva Las Vegas!”’
Aside from a cash prize of £15,000, Kusiri will go to Las Vegas in Nov. 2013 to present their technology at Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Forum.
