If you want to check out the original iPad mini with a fresh new look, head to your local Apple store. 9to5Mac is reporting that the space gray iPad mini has started to make its way into Apple’s retail locations.
Apple quietly introduced the space gray iPad mini on Tuesday, alongside its new iPad Air and iPad mini with retina display. Keep in mind the new space gray mini isn’t the same as the retina version due to hit store shelves at some point in November – this is the same exact tablet as last year’s iPad mini with a fresh coat of space gray paint.
The slate been available from Apple online since the announcement on Tuesday, along with the original silver option. And the tablet now costs $299, down from $329 last year.
Of course, you might also want to hold out for the retina version, which features a much sharper display and a significantly faster processor, though it’ll cost you $100 more. Either way, you can check the new color out at your local Apple store to see if it suites your taste. Just make sure to call ahead to see if they have it in stock yet.
