Here’s something a little different from the New York Times: Buy the Sunday, November 3 edition of the paper on the newsstand and you’ll get a 4-week digital trial, including unlimited web and smartphone (no tablet) access.
It’s the first time the NYT has run such a promotion for newsstand buyers, and it’s designed to rope in people who don’t care enough about the paper to pay for home delivery — but, the NYT hopes, could be enticed to shell out for digital once they’ve tried it.
If you want to partake of the offer, buy a copy of the paper at a newsstand — or a Starbucks — on November 3 and you’ll find a sticker inside with a code to redeem.
The New York Times offers free digital access to home delivery subscribers. Otherwise, digital access normally ranges from $3.75 to $8.75 a week, depending on whether you want access on your tablet, smartphone or both.
