TechShop will open a Washington, D.C., makerspace in 2014

National makerspace TechShop will begin constructing a Washington, D.C., location this fall, with plans to open it in the first quarter of 2014. It will be the seventh TechShop location. For a monthly fee, members will have access to the space’s standard classes and $1 million worth of equipment.┬áThe new location is funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Innovation and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
