China scrutinizes 2 Apple suppliers in pollution probe

Apple has an audit program to keep an eye on its crucial iPhone and iPad suppliers, but two of them are now under local scrutiny for exceeding China’s emissions standards. The Chinese government is investigating the dumping of toxic heavy metals into rivers near Foxconn and UniMicron circuit-board making plants outside of Shanghai.
