More sobering climate figures

It’s sometimes sobering to look at the data on climate change. This September was the warmest on record, but more importantly September was the 331st straight month with above average temperatures. For the past 36 years the month of September has had a global temperature above the 20th century average. 4.57 million square miles of sea ice melted in 2012, about the size of the U.S. and Mexico. Droughts also hit the U.S. and Eastern Europe.

Bad news, I know. But as cleantech gets politicized this election season, it’s always grounding to look at exactly what’s going on in the atmosphere. Now about those solar powered boats.
