May Judge Lucy Koh should follow the example of her colleague, Judge Richard Posner, and just throw Apple and Samsung out of court. Faced with grandstanding lawyers, superfluous arguments and PR dirty tricks that undermine her rulings, Judge Koh has taken to managing the trial in Apple’s patent lawsuit against Samsung “like a schoolmarm, regularly scolding her errant charges and resorting to tactics like deducting from the time they have to present evidence,” Reuters reports.  Judges everywhere, in fact, are growing increasingly exasperated by the endless, often petulant bickering over patents among Apple, Microsoft, Google and their various surrogates. Unfortunately, there’s probably no end to the bickering in sight.
