Digital Snapshot

The world’s largest ad agency has, through M&A, been gobbling up all manner of smaller companies to support growth through digital advertising, emerging markets and the nexus of both.

Key Move

Let the M&A go on! Last year, WPP companies announced 36 acquisitions around the world, including of Vietnamese, Russian, Brazilian and Chinese digital agencies Who Digital, Promo Digital, Rockfish, F.biz and A4A. And that was without smaller investments in to digital outfits.

Our Methodology

WPP said that 30 percent of its 2011 revenue came from digital media advertising.
