      Agreed regarding the right analytics package, but it takes acknowledgement of problem and the right implementation to make it work. Not sure how responsive design helps here though.

      • Responsive designs generally avoid redirects to separate mobile websites. This (clearly) doesn\’t solve issues with multiple link structures, but it does help avoid one of the listed cases.

        Perhaps I\’m a little bit out of the loop here, but don\’t you pass a canonical URL to the FB \”Like\” button, negating the majority of these issues? Assuming a publisher is doing this (rather than allowing FB to auto-resolve the URL) and has a single canonical URL for each post, this entire problem goes away.
