MongoSF, a full-day conference dedicated to the NoSQL database MongoDB, will be held at the Mission Bay Conference Center on May 4. 10gen, the company that develops and supports MongoDB, is hosting the annual event. The conference will feature over 40 sessions from MongoDB developers at 10gen, MongoDB users from the community and technology partners.
Over the past year MongoDB has emerged as the market-leading NoSQL database. Based on the last MongoDB conference in the Bay Area, expect to hear from those who have deployed MongoDB at both large enterprises and growing startups. MongoSF’s lineup includes presentations from companies such as eBay, craigslist, McAfee, Stripe and GitHub. In addition, 10gen is introducing the Ecosystem Track to highlight MongoDB-related technologies and startups offering tools around MongoDB.
This year will feature an interactive, full-day track in which 10gen founder and CTO Eliot Horowitz will walk attendees through building a MongoDB-powered chat server. Whether you are an experienced MongoDB user or you are building your first app, this track is a great way to learn about important concepts in MongoDB, such as schema design, indexing, scaling out, administration and more.
MongoSF is presented by 10gen, with Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Cloud Foundry, Canonical, MongoLab, Joyent, MongoHQ, Virident, AppFog, Zuberance and Bizo joining as event sponsors.
