Page can’t take credit for Google+, though it seems to be gaining traction steadily. Can he take any blame for what might be a dumb marketing move for Chrome? That kind of link-buying and thin content is supposed to be demoted in search results by the Panda algorithm tweaks. Of course, the paid search business itself continues to be strong. It seems as if Google’s personality hasn’t changed much under Page: brushes with “evil”-doing amidst new product launches that haven’t produced dollars beyond the core business.
