Today in Cloud

Cloudability, which pitched at GigaOM Structure back in June, and launched last month, has raised $1.1 million in seed funding. The company helps its users to monitor their spend across a wide range of cloud infrastructure and application providers, including Amazon, Rackspace, and Salesforce. As users increasingly find themselves relying upon a range of cloud-based tools and services, there’s a clear need for services like Cloudability. As well as keeping an eye on cost, there’s also room for a service to track the scope creep of all these cloud products; as Product A adds features that I previously had to pay for Product B to get, why should I keep paying for both A and B?
