The Internet's Population Growth Has Stalled

People On The Internet

The UK internet population actually fell by one percent in the year to July, according to Nielsen data in Ofcom’s International Communication Market Report 2011.

And the total population across nine surveyed countries was up only 2.4 percent (12 million), to 500 million.

I remember, from 1995, when .net magazine used to print the population of the internet on its spine each month; tiny numbers but fast growth.

Researchers did not explain the figures.
