The battle of the tablet newsstands continues: Condé Nast is making all 18 of its magazines available for Nook Tablet and Nook Color.
Condé Nast previously sold GQ, Glamour and Vanity Fair on Nook Color and the New Yorker on the Nook Simple Touch. Allure, Architectural Digest, Bon Appétit, Brides, Condé Nast Traveler, Details, Golf Digest, Golf World, Lucky, Self, Teen Vogue, W and Wired will be added by the end of November, with Vogue available early next year. Users can purchase single issues or monthly subscriptions, and current print subscribers can read the digital editions free.
As with other magazines on the Nook Newsstand, new monthly subscribers get a free 14-day trial. Meanwhile, Amazon (NSDQ: AMZN) announced its Kindle Fire Newsstand on Friday, with a much better deal from Condé Nast: Customers who sign up before March 1 get a free three-month trial of 17 Condé Nast magazines (Vogue is presumably the one excluded).
Nine Condé Nast magazines are available through the Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) Newsstand, and digital subscriptions there have surged in recent weeks.
