Today in Mobile

Google posted yet another impressive quarter, and mobile once again played a big part. CEO Larry Page said on the earnings call that 550,000 Android devices are being activated every day, and Seeking Alpha figures that growth generates an additional $1 billion in revenue per year. Most interesting, though, was Page’s claim that there hasn’t been any slowdown because of the patent litigation surrounding Android. It will be very interesting to see whether that litigation feeding-frenzy eventually does impact the growth of Android, though.
