Turner Broadcasting: The company has confirmed that Anthony Lukom is VP and GM of UK and Ireland for Turner in Europe. He will lead the broadcaster’s regional entertainment business, which includes the Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and Adult Swim. He’s responsible for programming strategy, content syndication and distribution. He first joined Tuner in May 2010 as acting general manager; before that he was MD and head of business development for MySpace (NSDQ: NWS) UK.

thePlatform: Simon McGrath has been named GM of Europe and Darren Grimstead has been promoted to director of European sales. Simon will lead thePlatform‘s European go-to-market strategies and operations and will report to Ian Blaine, CEO of thePlatform. McGrath was most recently CMO and commercial director of EMEA at SeaChange International. Grimstead, now reporting to McGrath, has been upped from the position of director of media and entertainment sales.

Hotwire: Another example of a media company putting emphasis on “digital first” strategy. Drew Benvie is the new UK MD of the tech PR group Hotwire. He had previously been the MD of 33 Digital, Hotwire’s digital-only agency.

Kirusa: Atanu Mandal is the new MD for India for Kirusa, a developer of social media and other value-added services for mobile platforms.
