Associated Newspapers says “hundreds of thousands” of people have redeemed discount vouchers from Mail Online by collecting codes from Daily Mail (LSE: DMGT) and Mail On Sunday printed copies.

Mail Rewards launched on June 11 in an attempt to make for loyal print readers. Online, they register numbers found in newspapers. This weekend, they can collect their first vouchers, to spend in stores including Morrisons, John Lewis, WH Smith and Argos.

By offering customers rewards and incentives they really want, Mail Rewards will help move our titles towards a far more targeted and efficient promotional programme,” Associated says.

Associated owner DMGT recently acquired the Wowcher Groupon to deliver daily deals to email inboxes.
