Electronic Arts (NSDQ: ERTS) has made another mobile-related acquisition, picking up Firemint, a mobile games developer known for hit iPhone titles like Flight Control and Real Racing. The deal follows the video game developer’s purchase of Angry Birds publisher Chillingo in late October, and it will boost its already fast-growing digital business.

Electronic Arts says in its announcement that Firemint, which is based in Melbourne, Australia, will become one of its studios. Firemint had made an acquisition of its own in January, when it bought fellow Australian mobile game developer Infinite Interactive, which is best known for the Warlords and Puzzle Quest series of mobile games.
