Electronic Arts Hires WildTangent’s Madden To Head Ad Sales

Long-time WildTangent executive Dave Madden is leaving to take the top job at Electronic Arts’ global media sales group. In a short interview with us this morning, Madden said he would be leading ad sales at Electronic Arts’ console, mobile and social games businesses and hoped to make it easier to buy and sell media on the company’s many titles. He replaces Elizabeth Harz who had been SVP of global media sales at Electronic Arts (NSDQ: ERTS) for three years.

Madden is joining Electronic Arts after 11 years at heavily-backed WildTangent, which bills itself as the biggest online game ad network and has expanded recently into powering ads in social games. Madden had led WildTangent’s advertising sales, marketing and business development activities as EVP. He was previously an EVP of sales at News Corp.’s digital media group.
