Twitter’s still the biggest story in NewNet today. The Wall Street Journal re-wrote its headline and added some meat on Twitter’s overall strategy to gain mainstream users, but its news hook is still that Twitter’s negotiating to buy TweetDeck. Much of the analysis around that angle is shallow, but Matthew Ingram points out that Twitter would gain both a client app for power users and a positive message for its ecosystem. I guess being bought is better than being shut off. Earlier, I looked at Twitter’s best business opportunities, and wrote in some more detail on Sulia, a service that curates Twitter feeds. End users can use Sulia, but the real business is in licensing.
