ISP and telco TalkTalk says it will cut 580 jobs to save £25 million this year, after seeing its Q3 revenue fall by £2 million from last year to £444 million.

It lost 25,000 broadband customers in the quarter – most of them former Tiscali customers annoyed by problems with systems integration post-acquisition.

TalkTalk’s non-broadband revenue divebombed from £77 million last year to £48 million, so the company is exposed by its less well-performing phone services.

The company is taking pre-registrations for fibre-to-the-home broadband offered on the BT (NYSE: BT) Openreach network and says it will conduct a test in conjunction with BSkyB.
