BT (NYSE: BT) had a good last quarter of 2010 on broadband and IPTV sign-ups…

  • BT Vision sign-ups doubled to 40,000 (highest for seven quarters).
  • 188,000 broadband sign-ups (53 percent of the market).
  • ARPU up £5 to £322 per year, “largely due to the increasing penetration of broadband in our customer base”.

But BT will need to go much harder on encouraging its customers to take more than just phones, with triple- or quad-play services, if it’s to wring as much money from customers as its rivals do each year…

BT EBITDA £1.4 billion (+7 percent) on revenue £5 billion (-3 percent).
