Snapshot: Major League Baseball Advanced Media is behind MLB.tv, which charges users between $99.99 and $119.99 a year to watch live games online or on a wide variety of devices. More than 250 million live streams were served during the 2010 season alone. In addition to managing its own sreaming and managing MLB sites, MLBAM also streams third-party live events.

Key digital move in 2010: MLBAM partnered with Bloomberg to launch a statistical tool designed to let fans “prepare and conduct their fantasy draft and make replacements, trades and other decisions for their fantasy teams during the season.” A “draft kit” costs $19.95.
