Industry Moves: Gilt Groupe; Nomad Editions; NPR; Mixpo

Gilt Groupe: David Zucker has been promoted to chief marketing officer from VP of customer marketing. Reporting to founder and CEO Kevin Ryan, Zucker will lead creative direction, brand position, research and analytics. He succeeds Carl Sparks who has assumed the president position. Prior to joining Gilt in 2009, Zucker worked at Dell where he was global director of customer relationship management and implementation.

Nomad Editions: The media company for iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices has launched its custom media division, headed by Chris Leach. A former Inc. Magazine editor, he’ll lead the production of original content for this division, which will focus on health and sports.

NPR: Bob Kempf has joined as VP of Public Interactive, a Boston, MA-based applications services provider that NPR acquired in 2008. He was formerly VP of product and technology at Boston.com.

Mixpo: Marketing exec Naomi Kagan is now SVP of client operations, where she’ll manage client service groups, ad operations and media and analytics functions. Most recently, she served as senior director in Microsoft’s customer service and support division.
