— Pre2: Palm’s latest device running WebOS has debuted in Germany and the U.K. In both cases the device is being sold SIM-free and independent of any carrier deals. In the U.K., O2, which had secured exclusivity for the original Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Pre, decided not to extend this to the newer model, saying it already had enough smartphones in its catalogue.
— Orbitz: The travel site has launched its first native app for Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) and Android devices that lets the user search for and book “a broad selection” of flights, car rentals and hotels.
