Industry Moves: Sesame Workshop; Twitter; Kiplinger Washington Editors


Sesame Workshop: The nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street has made three promotions: Scott Chambers is now SVP of worldwide media distribution, Mike Khouri is VP of home video and audio distribution and Jennifer Perry is VP of publishing. Chambers will report to EVP of distribution Terry Fitzpatrick, while Khouri and Perry will report to Chambers. Chambers, who joined Sesame Workshop in 2002, previously was with Disney (NYSE: DIS) Publishing. Previously, Khouri worked in sales and marketing at Universal Music and Perry worked in publishing at Scholastic.

Twitter: Twitter has made its first Washington, D.C.-based staffer: Adam Sharp will start his new gig on Nov. 29 from the company’s San Francisco, CA headquarters before moving to his D.C. base in January, ClickZ reports. He tweeted on Thursday that he will work as a government liaison, advising politicians on Capitol Hill how to best utilize the microblogging platform. Sharp joins from C-SPAN, where he oversaw editorial content.

Kiplinger Washington Editors: Wallace Ryland has been appointed director of digital business development. He most recently served as interim president of Hyper Localized Media, where he launched the company’s flagship product
