If time in the market is an indication of how good an app is, HanDBase must be one of the best, with an impressive 12 years of sales. It was an “app” years before the term came into existence, is on virtually every mobile platform, and has now been deployed for the Android army. HanDBase is a relational database app that makes it simple to create special data entry/ viewing apps that are tailored to any specific task at hand. Data collected in HanDBase is compatible with that entered in all versions of the app, making the databases cross-platform.
Users can create databases for any purpose using HanDBase, from simple home DVD inventory programs to very complex business databases for patient tracking and billing. Apps are built by creating data entry screens on the mobile device, which are used for mobile input of information. Data collected in HanDBase can be viewed on the phone, shared with other devices/ platforms, and synced with both Windows and Mac desktop versions of the software. HanDBase is a full database creation platform, and users can build as many applications as needed using the system. The app is available in the Android Market for $9.99.
