Univision Debuts A Music Site

Univision is launching a new music site, as the company continues its digital expansion. The new site — called Musica — features artist pages, song lyrics, and a large selection of music videos. The site will also feature Univision In Studio, a series of performances and interview sessions with “top artists and up-and-coming performers.” (First up is an interview with Daddy Yankee).

Mediaweek calls the site a possible Vevo competitor, noting that since its launch Vevo has gained a big following among Hispanics. For its part, Univision says it’s launching the new site because music is a “huge passion point” for Univision.com’s audience.
