Advertising Trade Groups Launching ‘Opt-Out’ Platform For Consumers

For the better part of the last three years, the various advertising business trade organs have been trying to maintain the industry’s “self-policing” regimen when it comes to behavioral targeting. Despite hours of hearings and threats from Congress and regulators to clamp down on targeting, the industry has so far avoided any serious restrictions.
