Kick A**: Destroy Annoying Website Elements in an Asteroids-Style Game

Ever thought that you would love to be able to shoot and destroy the annoying elements on a web page in an Asteroids-style game? No? Well, me neither, but that’s exactly what Kick Ass, a fun little bookmarklet, lets you do. Click on the bookmarklet and a little spaceship pops up on the page. You can fly around, shooting web page elements; you get points for each thing you zap. When you’re done, hit Esc or click anywhere and you’re back on the web page, minus any of the elements that you shot. Here’s a quick screencast showing it in action:

Kick Ass is really just a bit of fun; if you seriously want to remove elements from a web page, you’d be better off turning to an extension like Adblock Plus or Flashblock. But for venting some frustration on an annoying website, it’s great (and as the author notes, it’s even better if you add your own sound effects). Get the bookmarklet here.
