Cohuman, a team collaboration app with a slick interface that I demonstrated in a screencast earlier this year, today announced the availability of a new “Professional” version that’s aimed at businesses. It’s subscription-based and has additional features, including greater amounts of storage and more control over who can access each project and task.
In the the original version of Cohuman (now called Cohuman Basic), any user associated with a task or project could invite more users onto that task or project. In response to feedback received during beta testing, Cohuman Professional features new permissions settings to provide control over:
- Project membership. Determine whether members can invite others into the project.
- Tasks. Locks the “followers” field.
- Target dates. Locks the “target date” field.
- Task ownership. Locks the “assigned to” field.
- Task association. Locks a task to a particular project.
In addition to the new Pro version, Cohuman has also received some other updates (available in both Basic and Pro versions) since I recorded my screencast, including email integration and some improvements to the app’s usability.
Cohuman Professional costs $19.95 per month (it’s currently free through November 30th) and includes 10 GB of storage. Existing Cohuman Basic users can upgrade their accounts by clicking the “Upgrade” link within the app. Cohuman Basic is still free and comes with 1 GB of storage.
Tried Cohuman? Let us know what you think of the app in the comments.
