WebMediaBrands (NSDQ: WEBM), the parent of MediaBistro, has acquired all of the assets of the Semantic Technology Conference (SemTech) and the SemanticUniverse.com blog from Wilshire Conferences. This is WebMediaBrand’s fourth acquisition since last December, following the purchases of All Facebook-owner Social Times, social media news site RotorBlog , and social media trade show firm 3rd Power LLC. This latest deal contains at least some of the acquisition criteria that WebMediaBrands’ CEO Alan Meckler previously outlined for us: it has a blog and a conference business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
