Independent digital agency Rosetta has acquired Level Studios, a mobile-focused agency that is on track to book $45 million in revenues this year. Level’s client list includes Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), Cisco (NSDQ: CSCO), Apple (NSDQ: AAPL), Toyota and Research In Motion. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based Level has 215 employees in three California offices. The mobile agency’s revenues have been ramping over the past two years, increasing 40 percent to $25 million in 2009 to an expected $45 million this year, reports AdAge.
Level will retain its current management team, headed by CEO Tom Adamski, and will operate as a separate group under its own name at least through 2011. In a press release, Rosetta said Level adds a presence on the West Coast, and adds expertise in leading content, platforms and devices.
